- Drink Water. Drink a gallon (4L) of water every day. It’s not magic but it will help you feel full. Avoid sugary drinks as much as possible.
- Lift Weights. There are so many benefits to resistance training for both men and women. Start light and progress slowly.
- Eat Nutritious Foods. Aim for the majority of your food to come from whole foods. Fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, whole grains, dairy,
- Eat Protein. Aim for 0.6 to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.
- Mobility. Stretch. Even 5 minutes of mobility work a day goes a long way.
- Sleep. Sleep 7-8 hours a night. Try not to have too many nights in a row with less than 6 hours. Avoid caffeine 8 hours prior to bed. Keep it dark and cool.
- Eat Fibre. You should be consuming 25-38 grams of fibre per day. The average person consumes 15 grams.
- Move Your Body. Go for a walk. Run. Do yoga. Just move.
- Get Sunlight. Get outside and get plenty of sunlight.
- Take Care of Your Mind. Meditate, read, learn.
