You’ve got this. Cut the excuses. Stop lying to yourself. Get it done. You don’t need to have the perfect workout planned out. You don’t need to start on Monday. Day 1 does not have to be Monday. Day 1 can be today.
Just start. Go move your body for 10 minutes. It really doesn’t matter what you do. Go for a walk. Go do some pushups and squats. Walk up and down your stairs. Do 10 minutes of yoga. Put on your running shoes and stretch for 10 minutes. I don’t care. Just start.
Day 1 is today. Enough is enough already. You know that you need to prioritize your health and fitness. It’s important to you, so why do you keep putting it off? It’s because you keep giving yourself excuses and outs.
“My life is too busy to workout”. You have 10 minutes.
“I have the kids. I need to take care of them”. Make them move too.
“I don’t even know where to start.” Just start. Move.
“I didn’t sleep well last night. I’m tired.” It’s only 10 minutes.
“Day 1 needs to start on Monday. No. Day 1 can start today.
“I’ll start January 1st”. You will. And then you’ll quit. Start today.
“I have 100 other things to do.” 10 minutes is all I’m asking. You’ll be more prepared to win your day if you just get it done.
So, put on your shoes, start your timer and move your body for 10 minutes today. There is no perfect workout. There is no perfect time to start. Life will always be busy and messy. Just move your body for 10 minutes and see how you feel. Tomorrow, move your body for 10 minutes again and see how you feel.
Don’t wait until January 1st like everyone else. Day 1 is today. 10 minutes. Let’s go.
“I still don’t know what to do.”
Just go for a 10 minute walk. Leave your phone at home or in your pocket and connect with yourself and nature.
Here is an at home, no gear required, 10 minute workout.
Exercise 1 – Pushup – 3 sets as many as you can do, 60 seconds rest between sets. Drop onto your knees if you can’t do a pushup.
Exercise 2 – Squat – 3 sets as many as you can do, 60 seconds rest between sets.

Easy. Simple. Day 1. Go.
