This extreme cold snap continued on day 9 but I’m at the point where I say, “Good. The colder, the better.”
The day started with a 45 minute outdoor walk in -42C / -44F temperatures, which caused the below “Yeti” looking picture. It doesn’t get much colder than that.

I finished the book, The Wealthy Gardener, for the second time. It is perhaps my all time favourite book. My next book will be Your First 1000 Copies by Tim Grahl, which is a book on how to market your book. Being a new writer, I could use all the help I can get.
Day 10 started with a brutally cold walk. An afternoon workout in the gym focused on pulling movements, involving the back, biceps and shoulders. I’m fairly used to the two a day workouts already.
I breezed through Day 11, Day 12 and Day 13. As predicted, now that I’m healthy again, the tasks of 75 Hard are much easier to complete. The first seven days of this program was absolutely brutal due to the frozen temperatures and my sickness. It’s become much more manageable now.
I am adjusting to the program. However, there are so many little battles that I have internally throughout the day. My achilles heel when it comes to nutrition is snacking in evening, specifically potato chips. I have managed to keep the cravings at bay by having low fat popcorn in the evening. It’s a healthy way to curb the cravings, while providing the body with some fibre and something to snack on. Speaking of my achilles. My right achilles has been in constant pain ever since day 3 of the program, likely due to the increased activity, especially in heavy winter gear. I’m fighting through the pain. It’s more so annoying than anything.
Today is Day 14. I woke up at 05:40am, brewed some coffee and finished up my second book of the program, Your First 1000 Copies by Tim Grahl. As a new author, I took a lot from the book, specifically the concept of building your email list. You need to try to blast through obscurity, so that people get to know who you are. This is the hardest part about being a new author. The writing part is easy. It’s getting people to trust you enough to actually read your content. It’s getting people to discover you and actually find out who you are. This is something I really need to focus on, if I ever want to truly succeed in the writing business. The #1 thing remains, however. Keep releasing great content.
The one major lesson I took from the book is that you need to believe in your book, if you want it to succeed. I can, without a doubt, confirm that I 100% believe in my new book, Unleash Your Greatest Potential. It will change your life.
After my first cup of coffee, I stepped outside to a balmy -3 degrees Celcius. It is the first day since the program started that it wasn’t -20 C or colder. It felt like spring outside during my 47 minute walk, compared to those brutally cold first two weeks.
My second workout of the day was a leg workout, my second leg workout of the week. I’m crushing these two a days and loving it. There are some days where I am almost craving a third workout. I am kicking this program’s ass. No booze. No junk food. Two 45 minute workouts a day. A gallon of water a day. 10 pages a day. I still have plenty of time to work a full time job as a police officer (include an overtime shift today), create content like this and still be a present father and husband. It’s all about cutting out the things that don’t align with your goals. You will have all the time you need to do the things you know you have to do.
Life is good. I’m winning every day and the momentum is building. Let’s keep it going.
