When I first started 75 Hard, I thought I would be posting on a daily basis. I was so excited and motivated to start the program. I even thought I would write a book on the lessons I learned from the program.
But after 40 days on the program, I can honestly tell you that it’s all simply about one basic premise. This is the path to success for not only this program, but everything else hard in life.
- Come up with a plan. In this case, it’s the 5 daily tasks.
- Show up and execute the plan.
- Do it day after day. Rain or shine. Whether you feel like it or not.
- Rinse and repeat, until you achieve your goals.
It’s not that hard. Well, of course it’s hard. But that’s besides the point.
I wake up every day and I already know I will win the day and complete these tasks. Most days I don’t feel like it. I do it anyway. I promised myself I would do it, so I do it.
There’s nothing special about me. I am the product of my daily actions.
I am 40 days into the program. That is 40 gallons of water. 80 workouts. 0 alcohol. 0 junk food. 8 books read. 7 pounds lighter.
There have been some really hard days, completely unrelated to the program. Horrible days. But I persist and will complete these tasks for 75 days.
I will not break that promise I made to myself.
