First off. The rules.

You might think that the rules are too strict. That’s fine. That’s the point. This is my journey. This is a program that builds mental toughness. It’s not a fitness challenge. It’s a mindset reset.

It’s hard. It isn’t supposed to be easy, otherwise everybody could do it.

This program is a separator. But honestly, for me, it’s about testing myself to see what I am made of. It’s about unleashing my greatest potential.

I just got back last night at 11pm from a week long all inclusive trip to Cancun, Mexico. My wife and I had a blast, celebrating our first anniversary. We drank a lot, ate a lot of really good food and had an amazing time. But it’s time to get back to reality. I need a reset and a new challenge. While I am still in good shape, I have become softer than I would like to be, both physically and mentally. I can feel myself slipping.

Today, Day 1 started at 5:30 a.m. with 15 pages from a book called The Wealthy Gardener by Jon Soforic. I highly recommend it.

Next was a 45 minute walk outside in the cold dark morning. It’s not too brutally cold this morning, with the temperature being -22C / -8F. I saw one other person walking and a few cars. The rest of the world was still asleep.

I’d like to document the journey for myself and for others looking for inspiration on their own journey.

I know that day 1 is the easiest. I’m motivated, inspired and ready to go. But I still need to get it done. I’ll check back tomorrow.
